If I were to build my bottom end, upgrade the fuel, add stryker heads and a 12lb pulley, what kind of rwhp would I be making? It made 668rwhp before tune. Anyone here running a similar setup?

My plan is to 1st first build and switch to the 12lb pulley. Not sure what kind of power that will give me. Please chime in if you have this setup as well. Then, if I still require more power to satisfy the need, I will look at the heads.

I think AC Perfomance has a 03 SRT with a 10lb pulley, built engine and running 1000rwhp. So you should be up there with a 12lb puley ahd strykers. Should be a fun ride!!!

I'm running Striker heads/ cam (heads shaved to 11.1 to 1 comp) on my 2001 GTS with a paxton with a 3.25" pulley (I think thats "called" a 14psi pulley), on my car it only makes 6.5psi but the car put down 873 rwhp. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set-up, the motor makes big power all on it's own and the boost is just icing on the cake. You can floor this car at ANY rpm and it will instantly smoke the tires, power it there any time you want it instantly. With the amount of power per lb of boost it's making, I think going to a 3" pulley would get it close to 1000rwhp.

This is still a STOCK "cream puff" bottom end. This car ran heads/cam for 3 yrs @ 612 rwhp (about 12K miles), then 1 yr with NOS on it making 736 rwhp (NOS now removed when I installed the Paxton), and now it has about 4K miles on it at 873 rwhp with the paxton, and still ticking.

Below are my dynos, Red is with just the heads/cam, blue is after adding the Paxton.

You will love it, I have buddy that has a Stock heads/cam Twin turbo 97 GTS, it makes 941 RWHP. Not only will my car destroy him in a race, it's just flat way more fun to drive. His car feels like a stock car till you get way up in the RPM band and as soon as all hell brakes loose it's time to shift. He is trying to get a set of strikers for his car now then it should be nuts. To give you a idea of the difference in power down lo, my car at 3K RPM is making 600ft/lb af TQ at the wheels, wile his TT car is making 400 fl/lb, thats 50% more! More power down lo = more fun to drive.

PJJP,

My Paxton car set up is similar. Makes about 925 rwhp with 11 lbs of peak boost on 91 gas at 6000 rpm. It will safely spin to 6600 rpm and continues to make power (solid lifter cam & roller rockers along with the Striker heads) but DC did not want to spin it that high on their dyno. Torque is 850 rear wheel at peak, but the real killer is it makes over 600 rwtq at only 2000 rpm, so power is very immediate as FastMatt says with all that low end grunt. You will learn to "roll" into the throttle. DC was able to tune this engine with the stock controller, which is very cool.

It is different in that it's a wet liner engine with 530 cubic inches, 9.0 or so to 1 compression ratio, all forged rods and pistons and almost everything is pretty wild.

Car is very "drive-able" if you just use common sense and you can get much of the power to the ground with the correct tires, suspension, diff, etc. Engine has about 15,000 miles on it now and it still runs very well. Engine was built by Exotic Engine.

FastMatt,

Keep your boost low and run good gas with that high compression ratio or you may detonate. I tried your route and did detonate which running a 1/2 mile drag race at the Silver State Classic, which I easily won. It was costly however.
