PCM and harness for a \'95/\'96?

A friend of a friend just picked up a '95/'96 Viper crate motor (although they should be different based on HP) and needs to find a PCM and wiring harness for it. He is a pretty well-known customizer and is putting it in an extremely customized '62 T-Bird. The Chrysler part number is 5007142 for the PCM and 5007144 for the harness - both of which have been discontinued. I tried a couple of our more well-known vendors here (no luck) and figured I would check with you guys. He is not too concerned if they are new or used, as long as they are in good working order.

Drop me a PM or e-mail me at [email protected] if you can help. Thanks!

I checked those #'s out and they show (to me) not to be valid #'s. Where did you get those part #'s from (they change all the time). I take it this is still for a GenI ? Which one does he want? 95 or 96? They are different. The 96 is the first year for OBDII. I got caught up in this not too long ago. I do have a good used ECM(OBDII) and Engine(only) wiring harness from a 96(GenI). If this is a true crate motor it should have already came with the engine wiring harness. If not I know you would need 3(matching) wiring harness's. Motor(1),Motor to ecm(2), and ecm to key(gages,Power-fused).The biggest and only need to buy all three is so you would have the right connectors. Putting that motor in something totally different is going to require someone to rewire it anyway.

Thanks for the replies thus far - I am forwarding them on to my friend as they arrive. I wondered about the 95 vs. 96 issue, not even knowing about the OBDII. If I remember correctly, those two years represent three different engine configurations, at least as far as horsepower: 95 = 400, 96 RT = 415, 96 GTS = 450. I have asked my buddy to figure out exactly what he has...

Thanks again!
