I was perusing through the pics on exoticspotter.com and found this. I also saw this same wing on a Porsche Boxster earlier this year in Panama City Beach, FL. I like the Mopar RT/10 wing, but this is too ricey in my book. Oh well, different strokes for different folks

"wing, but this is too ricey in my book. Oh well, different strokes for different folks"

As far as I'm concerned, any wing that doesn't serve some purpose is simply rice.

A wing looks crappy on a sprint car, but it makes them faster.
A wing on a street Viper just looks crappy.

What do you say when someone asks you "what's that wing for?"
Do you make up some story or do you admit that you just think it looks cool?

This anti wing rant is available on CD or DVD

Whew, glad Dodge said the wing on my SRT-10 Ram helps to keep in on the ground and reduce drag.

I just threw up my dinner.........thanks Chad!

If it makes you feel better, the wing looked WAYYYY worse on that Porsche I saw in FL. They had it mounted in the CENTER of the trunk instead of near the edge where it MAY be functional. I have nightmares just thinking about it. Easily the worst mod I had ever seen on ANY car! Atleast the "artwork" on the Dolphin Viper was centered properly :)

Stripes are not as radical as a wing. I wouldn't have stripes on my car, even if it were free. But that doesn't mean I think stripes are ugly.
A wing is just plain silly.
It's like having a big stupid hood scoop, or a paint job with flames or sea mammals.

So.....the GTSR is silly? Thank God people like different things on THEIR vipers.

Me and Joe havs disagreed about the wing thing for years, I believe
certain wings a spoilers can be perfectly tactful on a street car. This
wing, however, wouldn't be amoung my choices - way too 'import' for a dodge.

Hec, if your going to criticize stripes, although it's just paint, hec why even paint these composite cars at all. You can go ahead and strip yours to bare plastic if you like. Surely, no one would criticize you then.

Yeah...I agree wings and splitters are just stupid on Vipers that can do 200+ MPH and are not only driven on the street but also on the track.

Here's what I said......

"As far as I'm concerned, any wing that doesn't serve some purpose is simply rice."

If you have a Viper that is helped somehow by a wing, fine, get a wing.

If your wing is just cosmetic, and you like the way it looks, that's fine too.
After all, there are lots of cars driving around on the street with wings.
Why not to join the crowd.

All the high end sports cars look better with a big wing on the back. Go for it.

I bought my wing and splitter for looks, but after I put it on, I noticed a big difference in the ride of the car. Before at 100+ mph the car was scarey darting around, and now it actually sticks to the road. But that's on an old Gen I.
