Nice color. If you see a B/W 96 GTS buzzing around that is probably mine.

Awesome car, you will love it. But get rid of the cats, the headers can then do there thing, and side rockers will be cool to the touch.

The exhaust is also wrapped with a heat sheild. I would love to cut the cats but I have to get the car smogged in Illinois :(
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome this site seems to be a lot nicer than viperalley

Beautiful! One of the best color combos IMHO. Is it a '98 or '99 (because of the rims)? Also, seems to have quite old rubber on them, maybe you should get fresh one... just a hint ;-)

Congrats on the car.

It is. The colors, content, and functionality are far superior.

Welcome. Change your power steering pulley and mounting bracket to "billet cut" immediately before you die on the highway.

Not if you live in the unincorporated part of the county. No smog for me, cats going bye-bye soon..

Thanks I found it, I''ll bookmark the site, I'm taking delivery of the car Monday and I assume that if the pulley is plastic it doesn't have the replacement, but if it's metal it does have the billet replacement? I also see that he has front license plate brackets, is anyone from California getting away without front license plates?

If the pulley is aluminum, the mounting bracket probably is too...but I'd make sure. There are quite a few threads on the subject here so be sure and use the "search" function. My power steering bracket busted before I got out of my neighborhood. I can only imagine what it might have been like if I was on the highway, or a human of lesser strength.

Get the bracket and be done with it . I have one. It's all rubber and removes in seconds. You will get a ticket, especially by state police' for not having one. You will see vettes not running one but they are a dime a dozen and no one cares. Your car is a cop magnet and they slow down or do a u turn to check out your car.

JonB also has the bracket Sybil is referring to, I use it fir my "fix it" tickets (I don't use it until After i get the ticket and show the judge I have it fixed and the ticket goes away). Then I get home and take it off :)

Car looks awesome!

I was under the impression that if the car came from the factory with no front license plate then it wasn't required to be on the car even in states that require front license plates. Didn't the Viper come from the factory with no front plate? So why is it mandatory for it to be on in CA? Anyone driven their cars in the state of Nevada? I'm curious if they are as strict with front license plates as California.

Each State has its own rules, I live in NJ the arm pit of the world, they require a front plate, I do not have one on 3 of my cars, I have good luck sometimes. If I get a ticket, O well , still not going to put a plate on. Moving soon to a much better State anyway.:usa:

I suspect with the new red light cameras they want to make sure they get a picture of the front of the car, Chicago made $71 million last year from red light cameras, that's too much money to walk away from.

Never had an issue in CA having owned 6 cars for years without running front plates.

I drove in California for 7 years with a car with no front license plate and was pulled over one time in all the years. Downtown Los Angeles by LAPD on a bicycle no less. Gave me a fix it ticket for it. But then again the car I was driving came from the factory with a front plate. Anyways, I finally got out of California last year after spending my entire life there and then moved to Nevada where I find out DMV prices are even crazier than California. Cost me $535 to register my 2013 Honda Accord.
