Black and Silver Stripe seemed to be the color of the day.

After lunch we held a small auction with items donated from Skip Thomas, VCA Ohio Region, and SRT. Donation charity rides by Jim Stout, Ron Siegal, and David Rankin were a real treat. Between the auction and the charity rides, we raised $810 for the American Cancer Society!

OOPS! As I said before black with silver stripes was the color of the day.

We had 4 black/silver Vipers and my black/silver Shelby.

That must have been Kevan's black/silver coupe in my rearview mirror.:D

Zoom in close on Victors face. What you see is pure fear of the glowing eyed Gen 3 behind him that is patiently waiting for a point by. :D

Seriously though, it was an awesome day despite the off and on rain. And the auto cross course was a blast in the wet!

Thanks to all for putting together such great event. :headbang: Between last year and this year this has become my favorite event of the year!

Agreed! :headbang: I love this event. Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate with us. Definitely great to get instruction from Skip Thomas as well. Is it June 2012 yet?!?! ;)

You have to remember that there were also 2 Victors out there ... how rare is that :)
Another year, another awesome event at BeaveRun

Even though the track and autocross were wet, you could learn some mean car control skills out there .... don't let a little water keep you from having a great time

I'll examine the GoPro and see what fun it reveals on the autocross track

It was me in your rear view mirror....in the parking area!!! :D
I don't remember pointing anyone by me, but I do recall seeing a skinny white arm out of your window during a few sessions. LOL

+1 to this, esp. the auto cross course.
Allen and I were down there for more than an hour, just running one after the other. WAY too much fun, and a great place to learn the limits (wet and dry) of the car.

If you can have fun while learning, that's the mark of a superb event.
Thanks Randall, Bob, Janey, and everyone else.

Who'd like to see some video from the nose of Jim's Comp Coupe?

This was my first VCA event and couldn't have been more impressed with everything. It was so much more fun than I could have imagined, and was even more grateful that I was able to share the experience with my Dad. I grew up going riding in the passenger seat of his Jeep (he's a huge off-road nut), so it was awesome to be able to switch roles and let him ride for once! Thanks goes out to everyone involved with the planning and running of the event!

The autocross was fantastic. I started out there in the morning and literally just did run after run for a good hour. I got the Viper this past November, and this was the first time I had any chance to push it at all. It was fantastic to be able to learn the limits in a safe environment. I spun it at least 5 times!

I did the Mid-Ohio school last summer with their TSX's and since I was hooked. It was my second time at any track, first time at BeaveRun, and first time at any track with the Viper. Skip Thomas literally saved my ass, warning me in the morning that when the brakes go, they give you one tiny warning, and then go to the floor. Well that scared me enough to check the brakes before the end of each strait away, and sure enough they literally went to the floor on the back strait at over 100, upsetting the balance of the car. Once the spin started, I pulled the handbrake in desperation and was pumping the brakes as frantically as possible. Thankfully it stopped in time and I didn't hit anything or anyone! Lesson learned, time for slotted rotors and fresh motul 600 before each track day.

Even better is I caught everything on video... See around 12:30 for the spin :p Can't wait for next year!
