What a fun weekend!! Yes, it was hot at times, but still bearable, thankfully. I met some great people (Ralph Gilles, Tom Sessions, Bernie Katz, Skip Thomas, Courtney Thomas, Carmen Electra, etc to name a few). Ok, so I made the last one up :rolaugh: The Viper Days group put on a great weekend at a great track! I gotta say, after a 20 min ride from the hotel to the track in Ralph Gilles' 08' ACR...if anyone would like to trade an 08' ACR for a low mileage, never been in rain McViper, let me know :D

Thanks for the pics Chad. Looks like it was a blast. That ACR sure does look sweet. I have to say the best looking Viper ever produced. I knew I should of waited to get my 04.

Great pics! Did Bernie get out on the track?

The real question is, How many times did Bernie see the track 360 Degrees :drive:

LOL. Bernie, I believe, rented a Port Lavaca Comp Coupe and ran in the VRL race. I saw a few spins out there, but not sure who the driver was....so yeah, he was out there havin some fun.

Awesome pics btw - you got a bunch of me (Silver #65)...thanks for posting!!!

O.K I wanted to see the whole track a couple of times, do you guys blame me. It is such a beautiflu place. I was in the Port Lavaca Water 18. It was an incredible weekend being It has been awhile since I have run a full weekend. The videos of my spins are even better than imaginable. Saturdays race I qualified 5th and unfortunately had a DNF as the CC in front me busted his oil pan and everyone back thought they had flats, Sunday's race was inverted and I ended up in 7th place after my spins. Dagnabit if I had not over driven the car I would have finished in the top 4, but live and learn. The other Port LaVaca car one Saturday's race and 2nd on Sunday. Times for the front runners were 1.58's and my best lap was 2.03. Seat Time, Seat Time and More Seat Time. Anyway it was great being back out there and I am having major withdrawls already. Thanks for asking Simms, hope you and the family are well, including the new one.

Here I am in the 18:

Muscle ****** it is Dave M from NJ club. I think he ran a 2:10

This was my 2nd time at Viper Days. What a great time it was there. The track is a little tricky and technical. Any one reading these articles, and thinking of going. Viper Days is a must event. I can't wait for the next event. I drove 12 hrs to get there. And it was definitely HOT. I was also watching Ralph going around turn 3 it seemed like he was going in a straight line. Very cool to watch. Nice picture of the weekend Chad.

Is that a Copperhead Coupe or Copperhead vert with a hardtop? Who does the car belong to?

Vert with a hardtop. Here's a closeup pic:

Cool - was hard to tell from the 1st pic if it was Coupe or not. I'll try not to add to the new Copperhead paint job on the guardrails!!!! :2tu: J/K

Man it looks like it was fun and I am really looking forward to getting back to VIR especially after my little excursion there this week.

I know this is an old revival bump, but I was at this event and I met Mr. Chad there briefly, I specifically remember him zooming in on a nice blonde female and snapping a few pics.
