Guinness-Book World Record Holder for fastest sustained auto speed on public roads is held by Oregon's CHUCK SHAFFER, a long time MoPar enthusiast and long time VCA member who just recently sold his red GTS. I believe his record was 207 mph for 83-93 miles. Peak speeds were 237. Historic MoPar of course. Gary Bockman as co-pilot shares the record.

Chuck died yesterday on his Medford farm in a tragic tractor accident. 1 mph. Early members will remember his red rocket at PIR track events. Chuck guinea-pigged the 1st ever Viper-Brakeman setup. He owned several historic MoPars including Tommy Archer's 1st season winning MoPar.

God-Speed Chuck.

1 mph! Who would have guessed that a guy who goes over 200mph would die in a 1 mph accident. Very sad story, condolences to the family and friends.
