Hello everyone. I am having a problem in my new RT/10. I have noticed that the RPM gauge sticks sometimes. What happens is occasionally when I am out of gear the RPM gauge will keep the RPM's up to where it was when it was in gear. For example if I was in 4th gear running at 2,000 RPM's, when I put it into neutral it stays at 2,000 RPM's. The only way I get this to go down is when I hit the brake. Is this normal or is this a problem? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone in advance :D

That doesn't sound normal at all. There is a little hang when you let off the gas, but within a second it should drop down to 500-700 RPMs. Is it stuck at a reading of 2000 RPMs while it is obvious that the actual RPMs are dropping? If so you might need a new gauge.

I don't think it's a big deal, just the guage, needle, or wiring possibly. It's not trans or engine hazardous, IMO. My speedometer in my Mazda started this about 2 months ago. Believe me, it surprised me when I saw the speedo go from 30-60 like I was in a Viper.

if you hear the rpm drop then it's no big deal. Call Chuck and make an apointment to have the gauge replaced.
