Question for Bad Byte

Is that a radar detector you have mounted on the roll bar? If so, how does the reception vary from a windshield mounted unit?

Yes, that's my Valentine detector. It seems to work very well for me. I'm not sure how I would know if it varies from a windshield mounted unit. What I like most is the fact that my rear window is very darkly tinted and the unit sits up under the sport bar and is almost invisible unless you're very observant. It's atually velcroed on to a camera mount and wired to a switch in the dash so I can turn the noisy thing off when in the city.

The camera mount can be purchased from Rivergate. I have to give credit to its find to our local VCA pres. I originally saw one on his GTS and liked it a lot.

I had mine powder coated black. They are originally billet aluminum.
