Under 00 GTS in garage now. Want to disengage skipshift. Do I need to remove skid plate between frame rails to gain access? Anyone have a pic to post? Im peering into small access area just before skid plate and see several sensors. Not sure which is which.

Its on the drivers' side of the tranny, just behind the skid plate. Sticks out horizontal. Use your crafty fingers to release the retaining clip.

I did mine without removing the skid plate. In fact, you don't even need to see it. Just feel it. "Use the force", grayman. You've done harder things in the dark, I'm sure.

[yoda voice] Remove it, you will. [/yoda voice]

You can do it with out taking the skid plate off easy. But make sure you don't disengage the reverse lockout. If you do...big problems could happen.

I scanned a pic for you.
