Racing Solutions (RSI) Breaks Another World\'s Record!!!

Congratulatons to Gerald, Jason, SW and the entire RSI team for breaking yet another World Record. SW drove his RSI built "Motor Only" Viper to a blistering 10.10 quarter mile time today at River City Raceway!!! Another milestone was achieved with RSI's newest Heads/Cam/Nitrous Viper as SW rocketed through the traps at 9.95!!! What a day!!! RSI just keeps raising the bar by building the quickest, most consistant Vipers in the World. Congrats again to TEAM RSI.

I'm very happy with my first trip to the track with my car. I got it back last Friday and drove it around all weekend. It feels like a head/cam car with NOS on all the time! It idles well, runs cool with the a/c on. I rented the track this afternoon to do some initial testing. The conditons were ok, but there was about a 15-20mph head wind. My car has road race springs still in it and is real low, so it was hard to get the weight to transfer. I could only get 1.46-1.48 60fts. I could launch ok, but when I shifted to second, it would spin. My first pass was [email protected], second was 10.15, third was 10.10, fourth was 10.14@138 and the last pass the clutch got hot and I missed fourth and 10.39@134. Not bad for a 510ci motor! I think after some more practice, better suspension set up, and less head wind there is a nine in it. I just wanted to thank all the guys at RSI for building it and making it very drivable.

I also want to thank Jason Stiles for letting me run his head/cam/NOS car, it's fast, I only got to run it one time but there is a 9.8 in it next time!!

I would also like to congratulate Jason Stiles who owns the Heads/Cam/Nos Viper that RSI built. Jason, I'll bet your black beauty looked awesome going down the strip and I totally concur with SW's 9.8 prediciton next time out!!! Great job guys.

SW - great times - especially for a 510 ci all motor!!! Looks like you are raising the bar for the all motor class.

I look forward to seeing your Viper at Powerfest if not sooner.

Wow, I may primarily be a Road Racer, but no one can deny that those times are impressive. Give us a little more info concerning;
1. What tires were used?
2. Octane of fuel?
3. What half-shafts is RSI using?

Thanks Bill, as you know I love road racing also..
1. ET streets/skinnies
2.103 unleaded
3. My car has Unitrax half shafts
4. Road race suspension set up

SW , what headers do you use? I sold my 95 and am working on my 97 blue and white GTS here in Austin. I need headers and will make a decision soon. thanks: Mike Ryan
