Beware, oh Mojo, of E-Check!

Be sure to bring tools to remove your side sills when doing E-Check.

E-Check is now part of the Homeland Security Act of Ohio. :usa:   :headbang:

what is the difference between regular RT and the honeycomb version? Is there noticeable diff between the 2 for stock setup?

Thanks

Sean Roe has worked more magic on my VEC2 and my Viper at idle and constant low RPMs is the quietest my Viper has ever been, but when I get on it, IT IS THE LOUDEST IT'S EVER BEEN AND ALSO THE FASTEST. I have Belanger Headers, Random Tech Cats, and 3" Corsa Cat Back. The sound has also gotten deeper. Over the year I've had my Roe Supercharger on, each improvement seems to alter the sound quality and quantity. This is the best it's ever sounded, and that's saying a lot.

Random Tech metal substrate cats are almost twice the price as RT hi-flows and are supposed to be the "ultimate". For mods such as filters tubes, cat-back, the regular RT hi-flows will work fine.
No cats make more (louder) music, may set a PCM code, and with headers in some cases throw a little fire out the tail pipes.
Check with JonB at PartsRack as he is a RT distributer.

There are pluses, minuses, and as always THE YEAR MATTERS !

The answers for 1995 and 2001 are waaaay DIFFERENT.

And even for 2000 vs 2001.

As far as metal honeycomb: 528 CFM each cat vs 439 CFM Stainless ceramic vs about 300-ish OEM. You keep your torque numbers higer (most years) with a bit of backpressure..... and you can readily LOSE TQ with a wide-open system. Not to mention the STINK....

how about for a 2002 GTS with stock headers and exhaust (snake oyl assembly only)?

btw, do you have the yellow seat belt harness in stock? I still haven't gotten mine...

Go with Stainless cats, ceramic substrate. Flows 439 CFM, dual heat shileds, 1 faces body. 1 faces sills. 2 inlet reducers for OE headers. If you ever add headers, you just toss the reducers and good-to-go.

I ran out of YELLOW / BLACK EMBROIDERED PADS 10 days ago, the very DAY you ordered. You have not been billed, but I expect more due any day. "Yellow Fever" owners are extra passionate and I run out of yellow ANYTHING first! You get my 1st set.... and a mini yellow diecast keychain for suffering the delay

Do you always need to weld the cats or will clamping work w/o leaking. If I can get my sill sills painted under warranty I'm going w/ hi flow cats and corsa 3".

Got my RTs and Corsa from JohnB, SUPER price and service.
I welded my cats to the stock header pipe. I got everything lined up then marked circumferentially around the pipe and marked horizontally in several places on both pipes as an orientation mark. Pulled them off along with the short curved header pipe and had them welded.
Only problem I had was the RTs were about 2 inches too long so I had the machine shop cut them (as the stainless just laughed at my sawsall). This way they fit more onto the straight portion of the header pipe instead of being jammed way up onto the curved portion of the pipe.
