I just did all my fluids last week, it took the two of us around 5 hours including lubing the suspension,It costed under 300 dollars in parts and picked up a mity-vac to vacuum out the clutch, brakes and power steering.
What year? Mine is 2006.
You wouldn't happen to have a link to the fluids you purchased would you, or maybe a screenshot of your receipt or something?
I am having a fun time searching http://www.mopardealerparts.com/ for the correct fluids.
- Mopar DOT 4 brake fluid (7.5 oz) -- Genuine Mopar Fluid 4549625AD DOT 4 Motor Vehicle Brake and Clutch Fluid - 12 oz. Bottle I assume I can use this for my brake fluid and my clutch fluid even though the cap on the clutch fluid shows DOT 3?
- Mopar DOT 3 brake fluid for clutch (shows DOT3 on the cap, but DOT4 in my service manual for the clutch)
- Transmission fluid (4qts) -- OEM Mopar 4874459 Gear Lube Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid SAE 75W85 NV4500 (MS-9070) (manual says Tremtec T-56 Mopar Synethetic 75W85 Manual transmission lubricant, but that doesn't come up on google so I guess it is the same.).
The book says 75W85, but I read in another post that this Amsoil Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 made a HUGE immediate difference in shifting. Is this okay to use on a 2006? (It shows that it replaces the part 4874459 so I would assume this is perfect and probably what I will get.
- Rear differential fluid including additive (45 oz.) -- Genuine Mopar Fluid 4874469 SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Gear and Axle Lubricant
- Differential additive (4 oz.) -- Genuine Mopar Fluid 4318060AC Limited Slip Additive - 4 oz. Bottle
- Power Steering fluid -- The Service Manual tells me I need THIS Mopar Power Steering fluid MS 5931 and NOT to use transmission fluid)
But after reading this post #6 by Steve-Indy it looks like THIS Mopar's ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid i is what I need for power steering even though the website says it is for 2008-2010. ) Can I get some additional clarification on this?
- Oil Filter
Also, I just bought this Mityvac on Amazon, thanks for saying that
What kind of grease did you use to lubricate the suspension? I see the points that need to be lubricated in the service manual but it does not specify any specific grease to use, or really any instructions except "Lubricate each point until a slight swelling is noticed in the seal boot. Do not overfill the seal boots"
