Checked out Redline yesterday, although the story line was crap it was well worth the admission fee to see the in depth line up of super exoctics. Would of been interesting to see the 08 snake wage war against this type of extremly stiff competition

Copied from my Gen 3 board response:

I saw it last night too. The storyline was ok, but when you have a movie full of hot chicks and super exotics, I could care less about a storyline! I will definitely be buying the DVD when it comes out. Its the 1st all super-exotic car movie that I know of. I would've loved to have seen a Viper as well, but we all know the DC marketing department doesnt do nearly enough to promote the Viper to the general public :(

Terrible is a massive understatement! Glad I saw it though, some hotties and the cars were as expected!

Exotic cars and no Viper = crappie movie. I'm guessing it was mostly special effects too instead of real driving.

I finally got a chance to see the movie yesterday and I will write a review of the movie but there were acutally two Vipers in the movie. Although not raced, they did have a few appearances which was nice to see:

Dodge Viper SRT-10 Roadster in Red - In The Scene With The Two Brothers In The Tent Right Before One Goes To The Race In The Black Lamborghini Diablo

Dodge Viper SRT-10 in Black - In The Scene Right Before The Furious Four Race (S7, Enzo, SLR, & CGT)

Redline Review

Well I finally got a chance to see the movie this weekend and I must say, going in there without any expectations was probably the best thing that can be done. I had read all the reviews of everyone stating that the movie was not that great so going to the theatre, I already had this in mind, but I must say the movie was still pretty good. Yes, many say there was no plot but there was, it just was not a very clear or highly desirable one. The movie is about people with gambling additions that race with HIGH priced wagers. First race was for $1,000,000 and then the stakes just continued to increase all the way up to the final race worth $100,000,000! Yes, this is crazy money and highly unlikely but it did make the movie entertaining.

There were a few areas where the movie lacked, like in the camera angels. Many of them were pretty creative but there was a lot of blurry areas when the zoomed in on shots. Not sure if this was done on purpose but it did hurt the movie a bit. Another area was the actors but this was expected although Eddie Griffen did play a good part. He was entertaining and helped the movie quite a bit. Even though all this happened, the cars really made up for anything lacking. I mean, where else can you see Ferrari Enzos (yes multiple), Carrera GTs, Mercedes SLRs, a Koenigsegg CC (HOT), and several other Ferraris and Lamborghinis all in one movie?!?

Overall I would have to say that I recommend this movie to any huge car fans just keep in mind, this movie is not about a plot, it is about seeing some crazy stunt driving in million dollar cars. The only thing that I do not understand is how they have not made more money? This film had one of the lowest budgets for a movie of it's type ($26M) and the movie only raked in $4M on opening weekend. I think it has to do with the lack of advertising on TV but that is just me. I mean, how can Aqua Teen Hunger Force The Movie, make the same amount??!!??!? Although this happened, I do not any doubt that they will at least break even between International Releases and DVD Sales and I really hope it does because the producer deserves it. He made a car movie that no one has ever attempted before and I do not think he should loose money for that! I greatly appreciate the risk he took. So all that is left to say is GO SEE IT!!!!

A little tidbit on the Koenigsegg in the movie, it's not actually yellow. They spray painted the first US car yellow just for the movie. The car is actually painted Silver.

Instant paint job that comes right off? Thats is sweet. I still like yellow better though, but orange would be sick!!!

Duplicolor makes a product that's called "Car Art". You spray on whatever you want...flames for instance...and when you are done you wash it off with soap and water. I'm not sure if this is what they used for the CCX, but I am sure it's similar.
