Messley with a screw driver in his back pocket and the "new guy" at the wheel sent the Audi factory boys home at Laguna.

[Paul Hawker]

Spent yesterday at the Willow Springs track with Eric Messley. He is still giving sage suspension advice to the racers. Could not tell you how many times I heard someone coming in after their first session with new suspension setups. Big smile on their faces, and a new appreciation of their cars.

Eric and Paul made a tremendous team. They both worked super long hours, using just as much brain power as muscle power on Paul's Vipers.

Indeed, Paul was one of us. He was a Hero at the same time. A true testamonial to a great guy.
