Favorite CD is Prodigy, as it seemed to always be in the system at many Viper Days events.My son and I both got used to cranking it up before a race as a preamble to Dad's physce getting wired. Always worked and , since my son was my crew, the album is a strong stimulus for remembering good times and Viper Days Action.

Next CD is a crazy mix from Sun Ray Kat. He gave it to me when he purchased his GTS, and it's eclectic futurism really works into you. Pretty talented guy!

I specifically bought Rush's 2112 for my factory delivery of my GTS in 1999. First Viper ever bought and I played it as I drove out of the factory and headed towards home. Very cool.

Most rock songs have a shelf life of about 15-20 years before they need to be retired forever. A rarely heard classic like this can last much longer. I think I'll be downloading this and putting it on a future compilation.

Recorded in Miami 1970. I think this 2 'album' set is timeless and ranks up there with some of his best. Duane Allman also sat in on this session. I bought it shortly after it's release.

Peter Green decompensated in ~1971-72 (schizophrenic episode potentiated by hallucinogen use). Although he has returned to playing, he is a tragic sole and bears no resemblance to the lanky guitar virtuoso he once was. He penned "Black Magic Woman" which popularized Santana.

Both of these groups make for excellent road tunes.

I agree with an earlier post that we should conceptualize a CD of 700MB of the best of the best. While we cannot make copies and distribute, we can agree upon the contents and the order.

We would have to agree upon the first song and then add each through the best consensus we could achieve.

Perhaps, we can all agree upon Layla.

I used a scientific method for the answer : Ask the VIPER.
SO, with different CDS at hand I started this experiment.
First, heavy metal, some how the viper started playing it before it was in, shouting I LOVE I LOVE....
Second, rock, Viper waited for the cd to go in and happily played it shouting I LIKE I LIKE....
Third, POP, Viper played it and politely said : OK ENOUGH OF THAT.
Fourth, JAZZ, again, VIPER played it and slowly swayed the rear end left and right saying , GOOD TUNES MAN, LIKE, FOR THE EVENING..
Fifth, BLUES, had to stop it, brought VIPER to tears, engine almost died, memories of GEN I AND GEN II, TOO MUCH.....
Sixth, country, upon seeing the CD, THE VIPER said, THIS BETTER BE HANK.....
The research ended violently when I attempted to play RAP, not only did the VIPER curse me out , it refused to play and some how threw me out....

Here's one I made a few years ago. There's just too darn much stuff out there to please everyone. Pretty obvious where I lean. I was at the concert in '91 when SRV left us. There will never be another like him.

We had the whole gamut in our house growing up...Brubeck jazz/Big Band jazz/Classical/Blues/Folk and, of course, 60's R&R.

We now even have a little Metallica and the new style country in the case. Didn't/Don't much care for the old Merle Haggard..Conway Twitty stuff.
