RT/10 Luggage Racks?

I am looking at a 1999 RT/10 that happens to have the luggage rack. Is there any safe way to eliminate the rack without eyesore plastic plugs or something similiar covering up the holes? I guess a better question might be how does the rack mount to the lid? Would it be better off sourcing a take-off trunk lid w/o the rack?

Eeewwwww, well I guess a short term fix would be to get some rubber gromets(sp) to plug the holes and have them paint the same color as your car. At least until you find a replacement.

Here is a good fix. Stop looking at that RT10 and look at one without the nasty luggage rack. I question the mindset of someone who would deface such a beatiful car as a viper with a luggage rack. Someone who would do this couldnt possibly care for a viper properly. Its like putting chrome fender trim, dayton wire wheels, and metal mud flaps with the naked lady image on it......Total utter tastelessness.
