Can anyone tell me where the best place to run the nitrous line and blow out tube are? I don't want to start cutting holes in the trunk without knowing for sure. Also, does anyone have good close up pics of their RT/10 trunks with the bottle installed? And finally, where are you routing your wiring? The install is on a 2001.

Thanks,

Mike

You really only need one hole in the trunk to route the main Nitrous line to the Solenoid in the engine bay. In a RT-10 the Blow out tubes are not needed since the bottle is in the trunk and not in the cabin of the car. I guess it is really a matter of preference and if you want them because you like the way they look.

As for routing the Nitrous line, I just ran it along the inside of the frame rail above the center splash pan. I secured it every couple of feet with some little half circle metal clips from the local hardware store that are rubber coated. I did have to drill some small holes in the frame where I secured the line.

It's custom made so if you want one well.............You'll have to PM me

The pic of my bottles are outdated. I have since then went with dual heaters and dual openers. A much needed item !

I never have to get in the trunk now! Except to refill them of coarse

The pic doesn't show it very well but they are facing forward.

You'll also benefit from a remote gage like below (Raptor shift light is nice too) I never look at the tach.....
I have to concentrate on the road too much now! :burnout:

You got to know what you're pressure is too. I don't spray if it's below 850psi. NOS works the best between 950 - 1050. That's where the heaters come in. NOS can't get to that pressure without them even when the tanks are full so.....anyway I can tell a huge difference in it when the pressure is where it's suppose to be.

And this is my remote pendant for the dual heaters/openers and purge. I made that so I didn't have to drill any holes in anything. I have a bracket behind the center console holding it up. That way if I ever remove the NOS you'll never know it was there. All of it right at my fingertips. Oh and my rear defrost button (or mystery switch) is what activates my progressive controller or should I say turn on my NOS. I run a progressive controller that I've set to come on and off at certain RPM's. I call it NOS for dummies.

Oh and I forgot to mention the bottles should face forward and not sideways. The pick up tubes are designed that way.

Thanks for the replies everybody. Where's the best place to drill the hole for the nitrous line? At the very back of the trunk in front of the spare tire? I'll crawl under the car tomorrow to see where I want the line to come out. I'm just concerned about hitting something with the drill bit or drilling a hole where I won't be able to get to.
