I feel for ya! That's unbelievable. I would think it is going to be pretty hard for him to hide the amount of damage that must have happened to his car. If the cops don't do it, I would go to every body work place around the area and give them your number to call you if they get a car in that fits the bumper you have! What if you had just run in to the house and had someone waiting in the car for you. It could have been much worse. Anyone that drives off like that should be treated as if it was a pedestrian hit and run.

I can't help you much on the questions but if the frame is bent I would look to see if the insurance company will go for a replacement. Oh yeah, and go for a Louisville Slugger!

By any and all means: Try to get it totalled! I have been thru this type scenario with another car. Best luck.

kaosv10,
Bates Auto Body and Repair. Culpeper, Va About an Hour from Falls Church. They do excellent work as the guys that were at the car show in Manassas yesterday and saw my car can attest.

My 95 was Black with Silver stripes and Bates just did a total repaint and changed the color to 01 Yellow with Pearl White Stripes.

It is show quality! Totally disassembled and painted one section at a time.

They specialize in collision repair. Ph#540-825-0261

Sorry to read about what happened, but what a relief you now have some details from the offender, in the end. I agree with Patrick, cops should treat it like a pedestrian hit and run, that Viper's ya baby! A friend of mine actually got knocked down by a parked car, she was walking by on the pavement, when a lorry ran into the back of it, shunting it into her. She's been off work since with an injured back. All the best with insurance repairs.

Hey kaosv10, was your car red with a license plate something like "red kaos" (and you came down to Darden for an interview)? If so, I was the guy talking to you when you were heading out afterward. Regardless, sorry to hear about your loss...
