Back to the post, yes Chuck I'm in.

Does all of this mean that an SRT vehicle can now be in the VCA as we all now know we are a part of SRT. ???

There is a local guy nearby that wanted to join VCA with his SRT ram, viper motor/badge etc....as close to viper except for the skin, but could not join as it had to be viper motor in viper body....but we were all supposed to know as a member of VCA we were SRT.

Sorry it confuses me, are GEN 1-2 owners invited to SRT track experiences? I've never been notified?

Sorry. Guess I did not know you were the only one with an opinion that counts and speaks for all of Viperdom. How could I be so friggin stupid to think for myself, oh great one.

Guess I will go back to the Gen III forum, a place that most of you do not consider to be Viper related. :)

Ya gotta love it! See what happens when you try to cover things up by lying(in my opinion). The hole you dug just gets deeper and deeper. Hey Chris, Joe, Janni and SRT HQ what are your answers to hemibeep's questions? Any of you got the home phone number of anyone at SRT HQ so we don't have to wait for the answers to come tomorrow or can we just consider the answers to be YES since GEN I & II VIPERS are SRTs? I think we would ALL(including GEN I & II VIPER owners) like to know. Keep in mind ALL VIPERS are SRTs! :smirk: Gee, I hope we haven't hit the "VANISHING POINT" with this dilemma.

is this thread STILL going on?

YES, we're waiting for the answers to hemibeep's questions at the top of this page. Don't worry I'll keep it at the top of the Forum until we get the answers or the thread VANISHES. :D

Question #2 from Hemibeep: "Sorry it confuses me, are GEN 1-2 owners invited to SRT track experiences? I've never been notified? "

SRT Track Experience Q&A directly from the web site. http://www.srttrackexperience.com/faq.do

Q. What is the SRT Track Experience?
A. It is a one-day performance driving school led by Skip Barber instructors. It is an opportunity for customers to learn to maximize the performance of their SRT vehicles safely.

Q. Who is invited?
A. SRT owners and automotive enthusiasts.

Q. Where is it?
A. The SRT Track Experience will be held at many racetracks around the country. Approximately 25 - 30 events are in the works for this year. Visit our event schedule page for more information.

Q. What does it cost?
A. If your vehicle was ordered after April 1, 2005, the registration has already been included in the cost of your vehicle and there is no additional charge. If your vehicle was ordered before April 1, 2005, there is a $300 charge for the one-day event. Check your Monroney Label (window sticker) for reference or call us at headquarters.

Q. How do I know if the event fee was included in the cost of my vehicle?
A. Refer to the Monroney Label (window sticker) on your vehicle. If the fee was included, it will be stated as part of the standard package or call us at headquarters so we can check your VIN.

Q. How do I register?
A. You can register in several different ways. Choose the one that is most convenient for you.
1. Register online in the registration section of this Web site! It's fast and easy!
2. Download the registration form and fax it to SRT Track Experience Headquarters at 1-248-553-2138.
3. Request a registration form via e-mail at [email protected].

Q. What if I cannot attend the event when it comes to my area? Can I attend another one?
A. Yes, you can attend any event in any area you desire.

Q. May I bring a friend who wants to participate as a driver?
A. Yes. Guests will be allowed as space is available. You can enter your guest information on the registration form and the $300.00 registration fee applies. You will be contacted the week before the event if space is available.

Q. What if I want to bring someone who does not want to drive but just wants to come as a spectator (non-driving guest)?
A. Although this is not intended to be a spectator event, non-driving guests can attend and pay a $60.00 fee. The fee is to cover meals.

Q. When do the events start and how long do they last?
A. Unless otherwise specified, all events will begin at 8:00am and conclude at 5:00pm.

So if you are an owner or just an enthusiast you can go. No ownership required.

As to whether you were contacted the answer may be related to if you purchased your 97 GTS new from Dodge. If not they would probably not have you on their mailing list.

Question #1 from Hemibeep: "Does all of this mean that an SRT vehicle can now be in the VCA as we all now know we are a part of SRT. ???"

Since you are a member of the VCA you can ask that question on the members only section and get a direct response. Though it has been asked and answered there before.

I'm the original owner of my '98 SRT and I never got notified either and I live at the same address as when I purchased. First I've ever heard of the SRT Track Experience. I would have liked to attend to learn how to drive my SRT safely. :(

I don't understand your issue? The SRT Track experience "program" is a specific program that was developed (with lots of help from our Viper Club as we truly were the first guys to organize driver oriented events for the enjoyment of our owners!). Dodge INCLUDED the cost into each SRT product purchased after a certain date. It is NOT a Viper exclusive program!

Here's what I read:

I'll take a stab at these questions for Hemibeep:

Does all of this mean that an SRT vehicle can now be in the VCA as we all now know we are a part of SRT. ???

No. All Vipers are SRT, not all SRT are Vipers.

There is a local guy nearby that wanted to join VCA with his SRT ram, viper motor/badge etc....as close to viper except for the skin, but could not join as it had to be viper motor in viper body....but we were all supposed to know as a member of VCA we were SRT.

SRT Ram is not a Viper, it's an SRT Ram. There have been discussions in the past regarding non-viper SRT vehicles to be included in the VCA and invariably, the discussion ends with "Those vehicles are not Vipers and shouldn't be included in the Viper Club of America." This is the VIPER CLUB OF AMERICA, not the SRT club of America.

Sorry it confuses me, are GEN 1-2 owners invited to SRT track experiences? I've never been notified?

I think this one has been answered already.
