Unfortunately I don't think it'll be the same. If they're talking about sharing a common platform I have my doubts it will have the performance potential it does now. You can only put a rear wheel drive sedan setup so far (Camaro Z28 is a good example). It might punch way above its weight, but a dedicated performance design from the start would be a better performer. Then again, maybe "common platforms" don't work the way I think they do.

Like I said - if the side curtains are the "main issue" for dropping
the line, make all 2018+ convertibles...

I look at the abortion Ford is passing as the new GT and I dont
hold any hopes for a FCA reboot of the Viper. It'd be like bringing
back Hemmingway to write for the Kardashian shows... no thank
you...
