Shifting to second gear on gen 5

Hello,

Id like to introduce myself to the members as a new owner of 2017 ACR GTC.

Im facing a problem in shifting gears from first to second. This issue happened few times now but im not sure if its a common problem or not.

The gauge says "Skip to 4th gear" as if there is no 2nd gear at all.

This will happen when you take off too slow.

read your owners manual; "skip shift" feature

Its the skip-shift override. Its a mandatory feature on manual transmission
vehicles built here in the US to help with fuel mileage (mpgs) and emissions.
You have three options:
1) Live with it.
2) Rev the motor to above 2500rpm every time you shift (bypasses the cut out)
3) Buy a Skip Shift Eliminator off ebay / JonB - its a 5min plug in part that locks
the solenoid and prevents the bypass from engaging.
