If all goes well I should be closing a deal on a GTS after this weekend. The car is located in Oregon and I live in Montreal Canada (about 2450 miles away).

I need to get some shipping quotes from trusted VCA recommended shippers.

I tried using the search feature but couldn't find a list of companies that members use.

Any recommendations? I contacted Gary Almond but do not know of anyone else expereinced in shipping Vipers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gary's in Shanghai

I'm using Intercity Lines, they have their own insurance, hydraulic loading/unloading, and not much higher than GA.

They're highly rated by The Wizard too :)

+1 Intercity....proper enclosed shipping and familiar with low clearance supercars...familiar with Vipers. Local Porsche dealer uses them too for cars over $100,000.00 :2tu: :2tu:

Wow! Called them and spoke with Bob Sellers. These guys are good. Quote was reasonable and they certainly know their business. Good piece of mind.

Thank you for the info.

Just used Fedex Passport to ship a car from Wisconsin to NJ in an enclosed trailer. No problems at all. I believe they were cheaper than Intercity lines and offer a similar service. Gary was not available in the timeframe I required.

I used Horseless Carraige. They're delivery time estimates sucked, but the car arrived in great shape amid Ferarris and other classic cars. They know how to treat your car, even if they don't know how to schedule.

Yo

Bought my Viper down in the states, shipped it to NY to Chucks to go over etc, and had TFX International out of Toronto pick up the car and take it across the border.

They specialize in importing cars to Canada. They deal with all the paper work and hassles at the border etc. I called Gary, Intercity etc they don't go across the border.

The only problem I had with TFX was my car sat at their warehouse facility (which I never saw etc was told it was indoor's, high security etc,,,probably was) for three weeks, before they had a truck filled to ship to Ottawa, where I live.

My neighbour also used TFX to ship his Ferrari.

Awesome. This is what I was looking for to help across the border. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks

I'm back! But the weather is really going to wreak havoc for a few more days. I got stuck in the airport in Chicago for a couple of days but I'm open for business. Just give me a call.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I've engaged the services of TLX International. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry Gary - I didn't know you were away.
