I had a wasp nest behind the passenger side mirror glass.

I used a power washer to get behind the glass and break up the nest, then pulled ALL the nest out.

Well, I set the mirror all the way up , and pushed it up even more to get the water stream under the mirror.

Now, it will go side to side ... but not up and down , and I cant even PUSH it down.

It rendered my side mirror pretty much useless , I cant see anything worthwhile out of it anymore.

Did I ruin the motor?

How strong is the setup, should I just push harder until it pops into place? I would hate to push so hard that the glass falls off , but if that's not a possibility I will give it more pressure.

Thanks for the help! :) ---

Thanks for the link Jance!

Are there separate motors for up/down and left/right?

What are the steps to getting the glass out? ---

I sent you a PM reply.

To remove the glass just push the glass in at the top, put your finger behind the glass at the bottom and pull outward. The mirror will hinge at the top, then just lift up on the glass to remove. :)

Go slow!

maybe a piece of the nest got lodged, that would explain why you cant even manually move it?

I was thinking that too KDR , I will pop off the glass and inspect everything closer soon.

Thanks for the instruction on how to get the mirror off and back on :) ---
