Sourcing Obsolete Parts For Gen I and Gen II Vipers

Little plastic square trim pieces that guide the tops scissor clips into the gen 1 sportsbar!!!!!!!!!! They get damaged easily and as far as I know there are no replacement pieces.

Just a suggestion, but to save scrolling through the pages, would it be possible to have a list of the alternative parts on some kind of spread sheet with a part number and possible supplier?

Gen 1 and Gen 2 fog lights are available as Citroen D2 parts. Remove the plastic back and the Bosch glass body has a sticker with a part number: 0 305 403 001 Google it and you may find my new best buddy Sylvain on French eBay. He sells them for 30 Euro (~$45) plus shipping. I bought two and with international shipping paid a total of $140, came from Paris in 8 calendar days. Good luck.

OK, was fooled by parts book image and these fogs are for Gen 1 only. But I encourage anyone to look behind the plastic back and search for a Bosch part number - might help to locate your part.

Viper parts are getting harder and harder to get. Many parts are are not longer available or on backorder. Viper front brake rotors have been backordered for 5 months, some suspension parts for 03-10 Vipers are no longer available and most all the Gen 1 stuff is no longer made. I was told (not confirmed) that when Dodge went BK all the parts providers were not paid, so they stopped making parts. When Dodge reorganized they had to find new vendors or just drop some of the parts all together.

This part is currently shipping from Mopar under the newest early Gen II part number (5015148AC) and includes two new key fobs matched up to the receiver.

Looking for GEN 2 passenger air bag cover.

This is integrated into the airbag module itself.

I am finding Gen 1 parts harder and harder to get. I currently have 1994 Viper in the shop with a bad fuel gauge sending unit (gas gauge does not work). The sending unit is no longer available new and is only serviced with the fuel pump. The fuel pump is a $1300 part from the dealer and about $700 if you can still find them direct from Carter.

Does anyone know if this sending unit is interchangeable with another model? The pump is very close to what was used in Dodge trucks in the late 80's and early 90's. 

Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure on that. Can try to check around though. I had to replace my fuel pump module a while back, and now I wish I had kept the sending unit off the old one. I would have given it to you.
