The National Officers of the Viper Club of America have decided to move forward on the "Old Parts Project". I will be working directly with the National Officers and SRT. The purpose of this post is to identify the Obsolete parts and list them here. We need your input: Let us know what you have not been able to get or replace on your car. When we get a list together this list will be presented to SRT.

Please list the year of the car, and describe the Obsolete Part. Things like fasteners, antenna mount, weather-strips, side curtains, soft tops or even specific parts of a soft top, AC system and parts, etc.

Gen I rear differential plug. I can't remember if its the fill or drain. What I have found is that some places say they have it but what they send is not even close. Be careful removing it as the metal is soft as I believe its aluminum and easy to start rounding off the corners. No one has it. The thread is unique so don't try using any old thing

Looking for the Gen I hard top pins. I didn't see them in a parts diagram and I didn't see them installed, so I can't describe where they attach. Finger-length, half-inch of thread on one end, hex-head on the other. Steel.

Fuzzy paint Guys. I played with the paint using PPG to finally match the color. Painted over the dash with an artists airbrush. (I'm an artist) took about 6 hours. Matched perfectly. I put a rubber softener in the paint. It matched perfectly. Took awhile. Then I took sandpaper and gave a quick brush over the paint giving the texture of the original. That suede look. Lots of hit and miss until I got it perfect or as close as anyone can. Interior looks new again with original color and texture.
