Spark Plug Boot Heat Shields

Changed the spark plugs the other day and had one hell of a time with the heat shields.

Now I know they are there for a reason, but was wondering if it is okay to just ditch them and run without them. Or should I buy some of those spark plug boot sock things?

I like the idea of the sock, but havent found any on the internet. Any idea where to get them?

Summit racing or Jegs will have them. You don't want to run without some kind of heat protection.

You have to have SOME kind of boot or shield....... as noted, in Red or Silver from some of your club vendors. ~~~~~:<~ JonB
