Is this the book that SRT buyers are supposed to receive? Does anyone know when they will be delivered (before, during or after delivery)?

Cris, it says that 2003 SRT Cert holders will receive a complimentary copy IF YOU CALL NOW! Don't wait Cris order your free copy now! I don't think you will find one in your new SRT so if you "snooze you lose"

SRT10 - Did I miss something. Where does it say to call someone and make a request? Not everyone reads the web site so this should not be the means of communicating such an offer. My local club, Motor City, has not passed on any news regarding the book.

After calling the number listed, waiting on hold, and answering more questions, I finally got the "scoop" on this. Cert holders need to call the phone number on the cert to request this book. The 800 number listed in the above link is only for those people who want to pay for this booklet.

So I must go home, dig up that cert and then call the number. Let's make this difficult enough that few will be able to run the gauntlet of autophone systems. I think that Dodge has taken a page from the Diamler Customer Service manual.

No, no, no.

Certificate holders need not call ANY number, as they will be sent their copies shortly!

In other words...

Hoosier,

When you say "the dealer has my certificate", I'm assuming you mean the physical certificate when you ordered YOUR SRT-10? If so, no prob, because Dodge knows who the buyers are .... and that's where they're getting the info for the gifted books.

Actually, it was indeed nice of Dodge to produce the book,
but an estimated 75% of costs were paid by 9 generous advertisors. I'm especially fond of page 32!

Jon- Did DC pay only 25% of the costs of putting these books together? Who were the other 8 advertisers?

When the book was under development, "up to 12 advertisers or pages" were invited to pay [ several thousand $$ per page ] each "to offset the cost of producing 10,000 limited copies of the book" 10 pages of 12 available were sold.

The book is promised to everyone who gets a car, and was sold at VOI-7, and is at CAAP for sale, as well as at 1-800-998-1110. When 10000 are gone, they are supposed to be gone. In 10 years they'll be $100 on ebay.

Advertisors (alphabetical) are: Archer (John)Racing; ASC; Michelin, MPP, PartsRack Inc; Reliable Carriers; Skip Barber; Snake Oyl Products; Viper Days;

10,000 copies!
Wow, DC must be planning on selling more SRT/10s than GEN I and IIs as there are just now about 10,000 Vipers built to date over the last 10 years.

I'm glad they decided to do it and Thanks to all the Vendors who participated.

Happy Holidays!

I don't have an SRT-10 on order, so I bought the book by calling the number listed at the top of this page. I received it about a week ago. It's well worth the $15!

That book must be coming with my car, because here it is Christmas Eve, and I still haven't seen that book yet. Anybody else get their book yet?

2Charmed I know that there were many more than 10,000 RT-10's and GTS' built to date than 10,000. If i am not mistaken closer to or over 15000. Now if we are talking about the survival rate than there may only be somewhere around 10,000 still drivable. Should be pretty easy to go by the records on the web site but figure average production around 1800 cars per year since 98 and 3500 in 94 and 2100 in 93 and you will see that you are at about 15000 without the 270 92's and no 95's, 96 or 97's accounted for.

So... I am hearing that either all of you are so enamoured of your SRT/10s, or something else has you so preoccupied that you don't care...

I guess all those visits to ******* in your GTS's make up for it.

Ok, Estimating the production total for 02' at 1700 units the ten year total was at 18,300 units. So I was off on my estimate of 10,000 units in ten years. (I had read that somewhere, but it must have been old information).

Even so, 10,000 books at the current rate of production (eventhough there is no coupe) that would still be about 5 to 6 years supply of the books, unless they sell a bunch to non SRT owners?

I would assume some of the vendors would change in this time and some of the information on the SRT will change in this time?
With the books printed, they won't be able to update the existing books.

Just my thoughts,
I'm still glad they produced the book and I am looking forward to getting the book and the SRT!
