Stock windows & Tint for TEXAS

Hi all!

Gonna get my windows tinted in my 08 convert. Anyone know if our windows have any stock tint?

I will be moving to Texas and they are pretty strict on 25% tint...I am gonna put on 25% as I dont think we have any stock tint.
Of course, want to avoid a PITA, and if we do have stock tint, that would make me in the BAD zone...

Please advise!

If the glass is factory tinted you can have the shop gauge it using their meter and split the difference to get the total of what you are looking for. I just had this issue on my 08 Ram 3500 dually. I had 3% and therefore couldnt get an inspection sticker. Here in Louisiana the law is 40% on the front windows. So I stripped the tint off to pass the inspection with the idea that I would just go have it re-tinted. I found two layers of film when I pulled it off. So if the glass is tinted you have to take that into account.
