super responsive part throttle???

I have an SCT Tuner.

I am contemplating acquiring the SCT pro racer software. and even taking the SCT training class.

I feel my copperheads part throttle response (feeling of acceleration at small throttle/pedal inputs) is "ok" but recently it feels like the part throttle response of the car can be better...realistically there is more to be had.

I think my throttle position sensor is set as good as possible.

Anyone played with the gen3 part throttle tune or any of the sensors and succesfully made a huge improvement in the throttle response?

It be good to get a better understanding of what it takes to get part throttle agressively optimized.

I assume many be interested hearing more on this subject cause I sure dont drive WOT that often.

Any good information be greatly appreciated.

It could be that you are used to the power and now it feels sluggish...just a thought...

Motor throttle response feels much better now!

In my case, motor just needed approximately 600-700 miles, with many of those miles up & down on the throttle. Not too mention maybe a "poor" tank of pump gas for 200 of those miles may have had a bad effect on the PCM & throttle response.

In early January 2011, with 2000 mile on the built motor, Todd @ A&C checked out SCT to determine if he could extract more hp on 91 oct by varying the SCT settings. The throttle TPS was also set 2% more aggresive. Ultimately we could not gain more hp. The original new built motor tune of August 2010 proved still ideal. So the motor just needed adjustment miles through enough various driving conditions.

The brief throttle anomaly was odd... good the motor worked itself out. I didnt know what to think, hence the reason for my inital post here.

No doubt something changed, but, there is no PCM learning for WOT. The only meaningful parameter that changes in closed-loop is LTFT and the air control motor position . What does make a difference to power is the temperature and altitude.

Appreciate your description on WOT.

The second line in the original post said "part throttle" response. My tuner did make SCT adjustment to LTFT adaptive learning in closed loop.

On loading a new tune and assuming everything with tune and performance is dialed in, I really dont know to what extent the closed loop learning process can affect the short term throttle response.
