I need to tap into that lead for my G2x and don't have a wiring diagram. Anyone know which lead to splice for the tach signal?

thanks,
Carl

Might help to know the year of your Viper...and I will look it up in the appropriate Service Manual.

P.S. As covered in lengthy posts on the Raptor...if it's a shift light that you plan to install, some shift lights use coil signal, some can use tach signal.

Thanks for the update.

From the 2000 Viper Service Manual...page 8W-80-37 (the section on pin-outs)

Tach signal is Cavity 31 of the PCM -C3 (this module is a gray color)...pin 31 has a GY/LB (gray/light blue) wire...which is confirmed as the signal wire to the tach on page 8W-30-11.

If you need ignition coil driver wires (they come off of PCM-C1 (which is a black color)...

Cavity 1...coil driver #4 driver...YL/GY wire

Cavity 3...coil driver #3 driver... RD/YL wire

Cavity 5...coil driver #5 driver...DG/GY wire

Cavity 7...coil driver #1 driver...BK/GY wire

Cavity 9...coil driver #2 driver...DB/TN wire

that's good info...thanks. I didn't get it done on Tuesday, other work needed first. I'm going to try and do it on Friday morning before I leave.

I assume you set your G2x to a 5 cylinder? Is that true?

Yes, tach pulse or whatever it's called should be set to 5.
