Temporary Tag Needed?

I live in Georgia and this Saturday I will pick up a Viper that I purchased from an individual in Panama City, FL. I was concerned that I may need some sort of temporary car tag in order to drive the vehicle back to Georgia so I called my Motor Vehicle Tag Office. Much to my dismay, the girl who answered the phone either did not know or did not care about the answer to my question. So what have you guys done when you purchased a Viper from an individual? Did you buy a temporary tag, use the previous owner's tag (and return via mail), or did you just drive tag-less? Thanks.

Well if you get pulled over I would think they will say you need a temporary tag.

Now whether you get one or not of course is up to you.
