Just wanted to say thank you for all of the replies on my question of whether to purchase a second Viper, although I really, to some extent, already had my mind made up

, but it was truly nice to have support from those with the same passion.
did it, I picked up the 96 blue/white GTS tonight!!! It's beautiful, and I'm happy with my decision.

It is a nice looking Viper, that's for sure!! Mine the stripes run right through the license plate area too. I never noticed on the 97 that they don't, hmmmmmmmmm?? wonder why?

Exactly Matt!

Since the panels are painted before the car is assembled... the '96 made for a very precarious match as the stripes would be noticeably skewed if even a 1/8 inch differential between rear bumper and back panel were present. Without the stripes in that area...it would take a magician to tell whether they were aligned exactly..or not.

All for the good of our members, as this kept the line moving for increased production volume!

Hey, do the stripes on the 99 ACR go all the way thru the license plate thingy?

No, only on the '96 coupes.

Congrats, so when are you getting the Comp Coupe?

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the congratulations. Funny you should ask about the Competition Coupe, I actually did call around to a few of the dealers before I bought the 96. I figured maybe I'd wait, if it looked at all promising, but I guess that I'm just way too imapatient, and quite honestly, the information I received wasn't too encouraging...at really obtaining one. But perhaps if DC sees a big enough demand...production numbers will increase. So don't count me out of the Competition Coupe yet

Congrats Laura!!!!

It was that Blue/White GTS Coupe that got me hooked on the Vipers
in the first place. That's why I have the Sapphire/Silver Viper
now. (I still like the Viper Blue/ White Stripe combo the best
though)
