I live in North Port, Which one do you take it too! There in one in Venice, The owner of that Dealership has 2-3 Vipers, so you know he has good Tech's there.
What problems do you have ? I took mine to Sarasota, for a minor issue, no problem

I bought my first viper in Sarasota (sunset dodge) 08 and had problems with the mechanic there. They only had one mechanic and when I talked about doing any mod work they said they were not equipped to do much. I bought a 2010 at the Dealer in Charlotte County and they were not able to do complex work. They told me they send their customers to Sunset. HuH! I do like the dealer in Venice, I bought 3 Jeeps there but they only took on Viper last year and do have a few 2013's but I wonder how they are on the dodge gen 1,2,3 and 4's I might give them a try. I have a snakeskin green 2010 with the front and rear spoilers it seems to be lower than my 08 almost like an ACR, although it doesn't have acr on it or the brakes and so on. It has all the options ($118,000) retail. The snake skin sat on the floor for a long time. I bought it when I passed by the dealer and it really caught my eye. They gave me a deal I couldn't refuse because my 08 was Viper red (almost burgundy) and they sold it fairly fast because it was much more conservative.
I have some clunking in the suspension after a wipe out and the tire came off one the rt front and chewed up the wheel which had to be replaced. The panels that protect the under carriage made clunking noises ) frt and rear but not all the time. Its weird after I pull in the garage I turn the car off and put the car cover on I sometimes hear a popping clunk noise after the cars been off for 10-15 seconds been off for 15 seconds or so. I have heard of that problem from someone that owns a body shop in Venice. He had a friend that had the clunks and he took all the panels off and drove around and no more clunks. He said there was visible damage on any of them. Put them back on torqued them evenly but back came the noise. By the way this only happens at sloe speeds and mostly when its not fully warmed up.
Have you tried Venice? Maybe I'll give Venice a shot as I have a real good relationship with everyone there.
Thanks for your time.
Charlie

There are a couple of mechanics in Lakeland. One used to be the Viper tech at a local dealership, and went out on his own, and another guy who used to work with one of the Viper tuners in Orlando & started his own business. If you want their info, send me a PM Greg

I have heard that one in Orlando is one of the best. I am in Sarasota and have noting problems
Thanks
Charlie

Jason Heffner (Heffner Performance) is one of the best Viper Techs in the country, and is just off 301 a few miles south of SRQ. If you've got to have non-warranty work done, I would recommend him. Last winter I had my FE down there (I have a home in Cortez), and he fixed my oil leak (rear main seal), and changed all my fluids. I'm taking my VOI9 car down next month for the winter, and I'll probably have him do Corsa exhaust on that. I've known Jason for 15+ years, and used him in Maryland when he was here, as well as in Florida.

thanks all
The last time I got on Heffners web site they had a banner on the fromt page {No Vipers}, that was 09 I believe. Maybe they changed their tune. When I went in the shop I saw nothing but Lambos, Ferria's and other 200K + vecicles. I have heard they do major supercharger mods so maybe they changed their tune. After poasting with Viperman4125 I took mine to the dealer in venice and have nothing but a good experience with them.
If you go to Venice I would talk with Tim Racco (941)484 8300. His email is [email protected]
Due to many experiences with Sunset I will never buy or take my Jeep or Viper there.
Tim stayed on top of my service and I would recommend him to any Viper, Dodge, or Jeep owner. I didn't buy my Viper there and it made no difference to him at all. In fact I would buy my next Viper there if they come out with a convertible. The coupes are nice but I wouldn't have anything but a conv., maybe a cool T top?

I think at one time Jason got so busy with Lambo's, that he was not taking Vipers, however, we ran into him at dinner last month, and while I didn't bring it up directly, I think he is working on vipers again

I will talk to Jason because I believe he had so much work on the top mods for other high priced auto's he didn't have the time for Vipers. Times have changed and I don't see the banner that was on his site that he wasn't doing Vipers at present time. With the economy now I believe he will consider Vipers and Vettes.
I would like to get a new rear end. I considered the 3:77 but does anyone have any views on the 3:50 or 3:77 the 3:07 gear Is useless and even 5th gear has a smell when going 80mph in 5th seems that there is slippage and this is flat Fl.My garage smells after coming home after some 5th and especially 6th gear acceleration. I want to discuss this with him and see if an upgraded clutch and a ratio that gives the best 1/4 mile with good road coarse times. I know the Viper is a road course vehicle but I want the best street Viper but I would like to have a good road vehicle to go to Sebring, etc.
Has anyone been to the raceway in ST Pete. They had an ad where you could race with their Porsches and others for $100 an hour with a lesson. It was probably a promo but that would be cool to take our Vipers or use their cars (to save our tires ).
Let me know if anyone has tried it. I'll find the site and post it.
