I mentioned this incredible piece of road hearlier and was sad that NO ONE at VOI7 took the time to experience it... except for ME that is!

Tom, I was down there at the time. Some people didn't like when I mentioned it, but the driver (from DC) was trying to keep up with a DC SRT-4 test car.

I think that if you're in a beast of a car (Viper) and you're trying to keep up with an economy car (SRT-4), you have to take a step back and say the driver knows the car and the road, or you're not as much of an experience driver in such a car to be driving it fast. At which point you'd hope common sense would advice you to slow down, you're over your head. But I guess ego, or even a small mistake, can cause what happened.

Interesting Road, and I often wondered about it, as quite a few sites ( other makes ) mention annual get-togethers at the Dragon. Wicked fire breathing beast licked our Venomous brother pretty badly. This seems to be a very frequent occurence, and is obviously part of mystique of the road - probably good thing VoI-7 attendees didn't try to tame the Mythical Beast.
