The real original anyone?

Does anyone have any pictures they could post of the prototype Viper that appeared on January 4, 1989 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit? I'm curious as to how close it looks to the Gen I car that I have. Was anyone there to see the unveiling?

If you want great pictures of DC product, go to www.media.daimlerchrysler.com. This is the site where journalists can go to get press releases and pictures for their stories. From the main page choose United States (english) and then choose Corporate photos. They have all sorts of pictures divided into categories. For the Viper concept, look under concept cars and then under the year you want. Once you find the picture you want, click on download to get the full size pic. I would have posted one here, but they are huge and I didn't want to annoy anyone by making them scroll back and forth.

When I click on U.S. (English), I do not see "corporate photos" as one of my choices. There are "recent headlines" on the right, including the 2003 Viper press release, and there are a bunch of Chrysler news clips in the middle, but no "corporate photos".....

Worked for me, corporate photos were on the menu bar on the left...

We link to a lot of their Viper press releases on the links page, I just popped in there, and they were in the process of redoing their menu! I had to laugh. No matter what I clicked on it went to Motorsports

a few minules later, they had the new menu up, and it all worked fine.
