Thanks to Maurice L. and a photo of the seat without it's clothes on... it looks as though the seat could be removed from the car along with the seat cover and padding. Then the steel rods that hold the shape of the seat at it's current position look like they could be bent out a bit to make the seat a little wider. After this the padding and seat cover can be re-installed. I'm not sure if I will attempt this or take it to an upholstery shop. But it will be done.

Can the bolsters be bent outward like the current Gen II seats? For my GTS, I never needed to strip the seat, just apply some grunt, and the bolsters snugger right up. (Others needed to spread their bolsters)

Good question. That would make it a lot easier. Are there any seat experts out there?

Jerry,

You don't need to go to that length... just start working out a bit. When you're good and ready, walk into the garage and grunt a bit... lean back and roar and rip off your shirt hulk-style and bend that puppy to your liking.

You're not a girlie man are you?
