Unbelievable, they were talking about the GT500 Mustang tonight, and to sum it up they were saying how much more refined European cars are inside and how ride comfort is so much better...Unlike that Viper last week
Im sorry but this has really made me mad! I have a friend of mine, he has had almost as many cars as the Top Gear cool wall, Mercs, E Type jags, etc etc.
The thing is most cars are NOT an event. Take a Merc SL AMG, Brilliant car, you get in it and it does everything you require it to, but after a few months you get board because its too refined.
5 yrs down the line, EVERY TIME I pick up my Viper keys and walk down to the Garage my hand is beginning to shake, the hairs on the back of my neck are tingling, and when I turn the Key, OH BOY its Armageddon! God I love the Viper, Thank you AMERICA
I watched the UK Top Gear hatchet job that they did on the Shelby GT500 last night. Viper was also referenced as being as poorly built like the Mustang. Of course they didn't do any meaningful performance testing or competition with similarly priced euro rides against either. These guys are starting to make themselves look like they're in denial over the ass whoopings and beat downs lately by american cars on their beloved european marques... Shameful What Crap ! People are laughing at them and not so much with them at this point
They make fun of everyone, don't take it so personally. Watch next week's show and you will see.

Go to 40 seconds of video segment 7 where the true bias is unleashed... "Awful"
When you drove it how did you find itSorry the truth hurts. Yes a gen V is better than previous generations but not up to par VS Aston,Porsche,Ferrari and even corvette. The unsophisticated v car is a ball to drive as well as a cobra replica or a morgan 3 wheeler. Most people need a little more than that now. GTS Bruce

Bruce,
What is it about the Viper that keeps you coming back to the Viper Club to bash the Viper? Are you trying to validate how much better off you are with an 11 year old, slow overweight, bland car that can drive itself with no drama a smooth ride and "my wife approves" Car? Admit it everytime you go to the garage and drive it you KNOW something is missing....Oh yeah it is the following:

Then there's me: a Lamborghini guy crossing over from the dark side to order a gen V viper. The Italian owners in my circles are appauled and thats half of the fun in doing it!!!!!

I bet they're going to ask you a TON of questions on it when you get it, because they're halfway thinking of doing the same thing if it turns out to meet their threshold of what 'good enough' is, and it'll be a (relative) bargain to boot.
absolutely. AND I suspect I'll be the only guy around with one which I love since I value exclusivity so much.
The very last C6 Corvette, an Arctic White 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition with the 60th Anniversary design package, rolled off the line and into the history books. Since production started in 2005, a total of 215,100 C6 Corvettes were built at the Bowling Green Assembly plant
