Folks,

See attached pictures. The framework broke while taking the top off...no abuse or anything. It just snapped.
Anybody been confronted with that ?
How do I repair it ?

THE VIPER SOFT TOP WAS DESIGNED BY A VERY ELITE GROUP OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF THE DC DESIGN STAFF AND ENGINEERS!

THESE ENGINEERS WERE GIVEN AN UNLIMITED BUDGET AND UNLIMITED AMOUNTS OF TIME TO DESIGN THE VIPER SOFT TOP...

THE ONLY DESIGN REQUIREMENTS THAT HAD TO BE STRICKLY ADHERED TO WERE THE FOLLOWING.

1. THE TOP MUST BE VERY HEAVY

2. INSTALATION/REMOVAL SHALL REQUIRE A MINIMUM 2 HOURS BY A QUALIFIED DC TECH.

3. THE TOP SHALL BE MADE OF ONLY THE WORST MATERIALS AVAILABLE.

4. THE TOP IS GUARANTEED TO LEAK BOTH WIND AND WATER.

5. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE TOP FIT EASILY INTO THE VIPER TRUNK!

5A. WHILE STORED IN THE VIPER TRUNK THE TOP MUST GET DAMAGED!.

6. THE TOP SHALL BE OFFERED WITH NO RELACEABLE PARTS INCLUDING THE CANVAS!.

7. THE TOP SHALL BE VASTLY OVERPRICED TO COMPENSATE DC THE COSTS FOR THE ELITE ENGINEERING STAFF.

IT IS CLEAR THAT ALL OF THE DESIGN OBJECTIVES HAVE BEEN MET AND THEN SOME!

THE DC ENGINEERS DETERMINED IN ALMOST 10 YEARS OF PRODUCTION THAT VIRTUALLY NO CHANGES TO THEIR ORIGINAL AMAZING DESIGN WERE EVER REQUIRED!

NOW THAT THE RT-10 IS OUT OF PRODUCTION!

THANKS SHOULD BE GIVEN!!

ALL RT-10 OWNERS SHOULD IMMEDIATELY SEND A LETTER OF THANKS TO THE NOW INFAMOUS DC DESIGN STAFF AND ENGINNEERS!

THE RT-10 SOFT TOP WILL GO DOWN IN AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY WITH AWARDS!

AS THE WORST SOFT TOP DESIGN IN THE LAST 40+ YEARS!!

Ok you got ribbed enough by sarcasm; heres the truth. warranty is the lifesaver, if so, go get a new one. otherwise, you pay for a new one cause thar type of metal cannot be properly fixed at that location of defect. my best advice, wait and get one of madmaxx's new designed softtops

I had the same problem with my 95. Broke in the same place. I had DLM repair it. It worked great after and never had a problem again. Call Doug Levin.

DLM for sure ! Mine was broken in exactly the same spot.
The material the frame is made of is a non metallic composite
of some sort, which surprised me. I couldn't find anybody
that would touch it. Doug said he could handle the job, but
was overloaded with work at the time. I waited..........
When he finally had time to address it, he had it repaired,
cleaned and shipped back to me in a week.
Ingenious. Thanks again Doug
