Twin Turbo - Spark Plugs ?

What are you guys using and getting good results with for a TT Set -up?
Any comments on RC10ECC? I need the coldest plug available.

The RC10ECCs is the only plug I use. I love it. Great for cold starts(was a rough start in the mornings with NGKs) and great when the car gets to operating temps. I thought Champion had discontinued those plugs. Do you have a source on where to buy them? I could use another set if they aren't too much. Last set I bought cost me $6 a plug.

You might be right with the availability of those plugs, had difficulty finding them today, trying one more source tomorrow, will let you know if any are available.

Local performance store tells me there is a NGK that crosses with the RC10ECC - let you know what I find out.

I tryed to buy the Champion RC10ECCs with no luck. I even called a Champion rep and was told that these plugs were only sold to OEM manufactures. Then I called the local delear and still no luck. I crossed ref to NGK #4291 so far so good.

I am using those NGK's at 10# boost. They are OK, but I change them every spring anyway.

When you google that plug number, mostly marine retailers come up, try it you may find the plugs that way

GTSPowered, you are right NGK #4291 is what the Champion crossed to, I've ordered a set today happy to hear they are working for you guys.

Jobe Speta Jnr.(turbo people) will be tuning the car next week, I will post results then.

They are available for a marine engine (a Nissan engined outboard). Bought mine from a marine parts store. And if you think Viper tax is high wait until you find out what boaters pay for a plug.

Wait you built a Viper to handle 20-25 psi? How big of turbo's?

If it was my car I would go with some cold NGK's or Denso's to start with. Try NGK's with heat range of 8-10, or Denso's with 27-34(34's are like 11's). Check some threads after the pulls to see how much heat you are pulling into the plug. Rinse and repeat until you find one that pulls 3-4 threads of heat.

As a point of interest NGK list ZFR6F-11 as being a
suitable alternative this part is more readily available.
Any feed back on this item please?

ZFR6F-11 = 4291. identical. BUT, these aren't the plugs you want. R-5671A-8 or -9 are the plugs you want. -9 was too cold for my SC and ny TT. there is a -10 and a -11 in that plug.

NGK stock # is 4554 on the R-5761A-8 and 5238 on the -9. These are the 'race' plugs. and you also won't have to regap them. The 4291 is pre-gapped at .044. that is too wide. One last thing: DLM turned me on the 4554's about 8 years ago and i've never looked back. the car has never run so good. he said the 5238's would foul but i tried them anyway... and he was right. they were quite poor.

As for Russ's question - I run 25psi w/ twin P76GTS turbos.

any more info? Need to figure out the best plug. How do you know what is too cold or too hot? I'd like safety rather than a little more power thanks
