Just received a love letter from the Texas Tollways stating I was in Violation for not paying my Toll Charges that were accumulated during the Texas Round Up.
Immediately checked by bank statements and found the canceled check as I knew the bill was paid the day I received it.
Called the Texas Tollways Customer Service number.
Got a nice guy who looked up this bill and the one I had paid.
He found that the computer must have burped or something and that the Notice of Violation should have never been sent.
He corrected the account, gave me a confirmation number and his name.
This should be the end of it.
Just passing this experience along in case anyone else get a similar Notice.
If this had happened in Northern Virginia or DC, it would have taken days to get through to someone and getting it "fixed' would have been full of pitfalls.
Go Texas!! ... I hope!!
