Doesn't matter what it's worth, it only matters what someone's willing to pay. I have a 1996 Mystic Mustang Cobra with 3,994 miles that I would like to sell, but there isn't a big market for people willing to pay what I want. I know what "I" think its worth, but that doesn't mean I'll find a buyer willing to give me my price. There weren't a whole lot of 1992 Vipers built, so it's hard to gauge the "value." It's all just a matter of how badly someone wants it.

If its priced too high, after 2 months with no response you'll know it.

Aside from Mileage, the condition of the car plays a major factor in determining value. Is the car 100% stock? Original tires? What maintanence has been performed? Condition of top? Didn't 92's have the vinyl top? Even though carguys' rangs is pretty wide, given your information I would have to agree with him.

well I think 92's will be worth alot more in 10 years. However now, they dont seem to be selling for much more then the 93 and 94's.

I would say $40k, but as stated you may not find anyone that wants to pay 40

yeah ive seen some with low miles on ebay go for upper 30's and 40. but thens some don't get bids past 30-35.

Duuhhhh?
Gee, I never thought of that...How profound.

A car might be worth lots of money but no one would pay that much. And the car would still be worth more than anyone would pay?
How cool would that be?

And aside from the above, I really can't see any reason why anyone would pay $40k for any genI unless it was going in some kind of collection.
What other Vipers are available for $40k... Lots that would make better drivers than a 92RT with 6k miles.

What is the bottom value of a nonwrecked Viper of any mileage? I find it hard to imagine a high mileage Gen I Viper ever selling for less than $20k due to the value of it's parts and exclusivity.

High 20's lower than that and you can part it out for more $.

If you are serious about getting it, let me know and I can tell you some things to look for. Like the head lights are a 1 year only light and hood has a serial number on it.

Good luck.

You need to find a collector, who will pay higher than a person that wants to buy it to drive it. I think you could get your best price at a collector type auction and I think it could push 40K in the environment, assuming the car has no issues.

I bought that one and it has a lot more miles than 6K!

I have seen nice 92's listed for as low as 28K locally here in california, the deals are out there if you look.

Can anyone think of a more collectible car from the 90's in 20 years? Even a 98 GTSR (1 of 100) is more limited, but I don't believe more rare (if that makes sense). There was just SO MUCH HYPE AND EXCITEMENT around that '92 (some went for $199k over sticker) and it really re-fueled the current muscle car era.
