I recently purchased a 1994 RT10. The vehicle has 28,000 miles on it. The only thing that seems to be a problem is that the right-side valve cover red paint is peeling. I would really appreciate some advice as to how and where I can get this fixed. Thanks! Russ @ [email protected].

Paint strip + sand it + high temp paint, you'll spend under $50

Or find a place that sand blasts and powder coats, you'll spend around $75-$150 for one cover

Common issue.

Be VERY careful on stripping the paint - the metal is
a magnesium blend that does not handle harsh abrasive
techniques. Like Zone said, its an easy enough technique
to do yourself, but if you have any doubts ship them
off to one of the many guys who have recently made a
business out of painting/powdercoating the intake/covers.

Also this is an opportune time to consider whether you
want to keep the factory red or switch up to a more custom
cover. Youd be personalizing your car even more, and since
you need to repaint the covers anyway, you wouldnt be losing
any value. Some guys have even perfected the art of dipping
snake scales and other patterns on them. Good luck!
