Roe Racing VEC1 Viper Engine Calibrator
The VEC1 Engine Calibrator provides adjustment of the air/fuel ratio and ignition timing over the entire operation rage of the engine. These adjustments can be made by the driver on the fly to optimize setting for the current driving situation. It is especially useful for recalibration of cars with modified engines, intake or exhaust Systems.
Calibrator Features:
-Low load calibration
-High load calibration
-Output clamp (assures output is kept within PCM parameters)
-Filter to provide smooth idle and reduce noise
-Transient surge and battery reversal protection
Air/fuel Ration Gauge Description:
The air/fuel ratio gauge is a precision, miniature instrument that provides an easy to read, real time indication of the air/fuel ratio. The gauge has a 10 segment, 5 color LED display. The use of color makes the gauge readable with peripheral vision. It is calibrated for a 1V full scale input range and a sensitivity of .1v per display segment.
Air/fuel Ratio Gauge Features:
-5 Color display is easily read
-Dimming feature automatically reduces display brightness at night
-Signal filtering enhances readability of the display
-High input impedance does not effect operation of the exhaust oxygen sensor
-Battery reversal protection
I took this directly from a sales manual
They retailed over $400 new. There have been post where some have gotten as much as 40hp increase. All comment on the better throttle response. For $250 I think it's a pretty good deal. Of course the Vec 2 replaced the Vec1 and is more user friendly(smart card) and can do a few more things. I had to go with the Vec 2 thus my reason for selling mine.
Before people chime in. One (used)sold on ebay less than two weeks ago for over $200
