Thanks this was my first time at this type of event and I'm hooked!!!!! Over the winter I'm going to to pull the engine and go with the Mopar heads Gen4 headers and a cam. Can't wait until next year!!!!!

The first run was a roll the second and third was the dig. He got me in the quarter every time. That car was bad ass!!!!!

In case anyone reading this is interested in future 1/2 mile events held by wanngofast, there will a spring and fall event outside of Chicago, along with another fall event held in clayton GA (outside Atlanta). That is looking like the minimum.

The cobra is probably running 411's or 456's with a big block weighing in at 2,300 lbs.

A win is a win!!!!! At the end of the day this was a half mile event a I won not once but three times. If you watch the side view video that was my best run of the day. I was in the left lane And passed him after the quarter mile.

Wow. That looks like a blast. I have a Cobra and mine is the same. Lots of bottom end speed but dies on top pretty quick.
Ummmm.......Definition of track term "reel in"... To catch up to and pass a car that is in front of you.....
Pretty sure that's what we saw here...
"he just topped out in speed before the half mile" and the Viper went around him....3X.
The race was for 2600'. Who cares who is leading at 1000'...
All that matters is who crosses the finish line first

I have to say that in some respects and as great as some new supercars are, they are disappointing when compared to these old Cobras. These big block Cobras are just visceral on Crack even compared to an early Viper... I was very excited when the rumors were circulating about the C7 vette being only 2,900 lbs because there is just nothing better than a ton of power in a really light car.
