Here's a couple vids from the weekend. I was in the Solo DE group. There were some X's and Comp Coupes going out in the group as well. You'll see them in the vids. Those were the only cars that passed me all weekend, the aero is just amazing on those things.

Not sure who this is in the G4 vert, they were on Hoosiers though.

Great video! I was in the Black/Graphite ACR out there. I looked for you in the pits but never saw you, wanted to say hello.

Yes with the Forgelines. thanks, now after my turn one incident I need some touch up paint (full bumper repaint actually) to get it looking great again :) Thanks for posting videos, I barely finished my car in time for the event and never got my camera mounted.

I use the Contour GPS. I had the GPS function turned off. Last time I used it it wasn't very accurate but they have since improved the GPS capability but I forgot to turn it back on. I like it better than the Go Pro that I used to have.

Wow, great video. Loved watching you zoom past the Porshe. That blue Comp Coupe in the first one flew.

I had a TT try and drag race me down the back straight coming outta 16 after he gave me a point by. That really didn't work out for him, lol.

Thanks for the information on the camera. Looks like Contour has a pretty nice roll bar mount that would work great for my application.

Yes, they have a bunch of different mount options. I just use the suction cup on my windshield. Also, depending on what type of phone you have you can bluetooth to your phone and turn it into a viewfinder to make sure you like the way it's aimed.

I don't think those of us who run with the top down would be allowed to use the windshield mount? The marshalls typically want EVERYTHING out of the cockpit. I could be wrong, but as soon as I bought the windshield mount, that would happen to me with my luck.

You are correct that was my black car in your video. It was minor damage (paint only) that happened in turn one. This was my first time in the new set up and my first time at Sebring. I had a blast it is such an awesome track. You looked really good out there. I wish I could have started the weekend behind you to get a good line. As it was I had to figure it out myself for the most part. Ben Keating was nice enough to share videos with me and give me some pointers that really helped out as well.

I've always had to have the cockpit cleared out as well but they've never said anything to me about the cam.

Yeah, it's a pretty tricky and I'm still learning as well. 17 I will never figure out, lol. I had Lee Saunders ride with me my last session (forgot the cam) and learned a couple new tricks for next time. Glad there was no major damage for you. If your going to Daytona @ the end of the year I'll be there and we'll def. have to hook up.

Great video's thanks for posting! I've only seen Sebring on TV, looks like a great viper track. Good you were able to get a number of clean laps and everybody gave you point by's. Wasn't it amazing how those X cars and comp coupes come out of nowhere.

I was hoping to make it to Sebring this year and have been practicing on Forza.

Have any of you spent time running Sebring on the computer and then gone to the track?

If so, I was curious how much benefit there might be to this type of approach?

I'm a GT5 guy and don't have Forza. It has to be better than never seeing or driving the track @ all. You will @ least know what's coming up next ot around the next bend. For Sebring though, I doubt it can simulate the bumps correctly. I did do Daytona a bunch on GT5 before I went out on the course a couple years ago. I knew the layout but actually being in the car was totally different. FTR, I do NOT have a wheel, just a normal controller

I don't use a wheel either. I do get a sense that the track is pretty bumpy especially in the last turn before the front straight. The front straight is also simulated to be rough due to the expansion joints in the concrete.

Do most people that have adjustable suspensions set the suspension to the soft side? as well as, set the ride height a little higher than normal?

17 and 1 are bumpy.

I didn't adjust my height but I did set my rear Penskes one setting softer.

If you guys really want to learn a track before you hit it in real life, try iRacing. The physics are the closest I've come to my real car and the tracks are laser scanned.

Yeah, the SRT-4 had a few Porsche owners thinking their cars were broken.

Was thumbing thru the August edition of GRM and on page 172 there is a half page shot of Bryn crossing the finish line from the Sebring event we did with Narra back in May. Thought it was cool to get some coverage.
