What the hell is that? I am surprised they are still working with Chrysler/Dodge since they no longer are related. Definitely Mercedes AMG - Look at the calipers and Rotors.

well it's kind of cool how they stuff a Mercedes under Viper body panels. I'm curious to know what it will end up being.

Yes it is very Interesting. When these pictures were taken ?

It looks like a very early stage hand made prototype.
Body from Viper and engin staff from Mercedes ?!

It looks like they have fitted a very large engin under the hood.

The front side body panels were changed. What engin is larger than the current Viper engin ? a Hemi or a V12 Mercedes ?!

And the wheels have 5 bolts !

The steering wheel is not from the Viper but from a MB !

The Caliper are from AMG !!!
The front frame got about 12 inches more in lenght !

The body is nothing. Maybe what hides below that counts. From this picture we don't know if it is a MB or a Dodge. One thing is sure something VERY interesting and high power is comping up, either MB or Dodge.

Even if MB and Dodge are separate companies engineer can still work togather ...

They are trying to foul the paparazis and it works !! :)

Conclusion: We have got a V12 from AMG under the body of a Viper :) We have the special edition Viper for VIO 10 !
Ask Bob to order 50 of them :)

This car was probably in the works before the split hence the Viper bodywork. Clever camo....Even if you see the car, as we have, you still dont know for sure *** is going on.....

Has to be a test engine for a new SLR in the future. Those Rotors are just too big for anything else.

Wowwww--the back looks like a Viper, but not the front...possibly a rendition of the SLR, but totally does NOT look anything like the SLR...would love to see this in person!! HUGE calipers/rotors...hmmm....makes a VIPER!!!! Here's hope for future Mercedes/Vipers...juli

yeah, and a whole different fascia as well....hmmmm...it IS curious as to what the final product will look like!!! LOVE the SLR's and if Mercedes is working on Vipers now, the results could be absolutely fantastic!!! ~juli

Whatever it is, engineers seems to be exhausted. They look really bored on the last photo :) They must work hard.

It looks more like Mercedes project. There is too much MB around the car.

1) It's a test platform for a new M-B vehicle. The Viper skin with the stretched front end is an attempt to conceal the true identity of the vehicle.
2) It's been reported on other sites that there are known M-B engineers in those photos.
3) There are rumors of the ZC platform being shared among a few halo vehicles (Viper included) between M-B and the new Chrysler. In that sense some of the lessons learned from this mule may apply to the next Viper.
4) If this is truly photos of a new Viper in development/test, someone from SRT would have already had this thread removed from this forum as has been done several times in the recent past.
