I installed new DC computer that Jon B at Partsrack got for me based on the equip he got for me. Jon did a great job and answered all my questions and then some even helped out with my original dealer. Anyway my question is; when I installed the 170 thermostat first the temp stayed as usual at 200-205 with air on or off etc. Just like it did with the 185 thermostat. But when I took it on the highway the temp came down to 180 with the 170 thermo . I surmised from this that the high speed gave the radiator more air and cooled the car down. closer to the thermo setting. Now I installed the DC comp... I thought that the fan would work harder earlier to put more air thru rad and bring temp down but it didn't make any difference. Is the hyd fan not able to work like an electric one I kinda wanted to reduce engine temp because I am in a lot of traffic sometimes and would like to see the temp come down to 180. Is the new pcm supposed to do this? Chris is away for week at DC I will call next week just thought i would ask. Also I noticed when I back off the gas the rpms kinda drop slowly and then dump all at once orig computer didn't do that . Anybody have experience with what the new PCM is set up to do. The car is definitely very smooth now with the comp and seems to run better at idle and mid rpms very big improvement I highly reco this new PCM it takes 2 mins to install and really help the loud exhaust sound better. I love when the popping shifts from side to side , sounds derranged.
