It is almost official now as Daryl Jackson on page 5 says VOI 9 will be in either Atlanta or Las Vegas. "Watch for the announcement soon".

I go to Las Vegas a lot and I hate to bust your bubble but the gas prices have always been very high in Vegas BEFORE all this mess. Its all part of owning a gas guzzler and the UK owners have been paying 8.00/gal. for years. Hey, maybe it will keep the crowd down! See you there.

I'm sure Vegas would be more fun, but I vote for Atlanta just so I could go. I only live about 1.5 hours south of Atlanta. I think Vegas will win out however.

Darn, I thought my suggestion for Colorado Springs was good, and we went to Dallas. Then I suggested Salt Lake City with it's new track over Las Vegas. So using my luck and how serious they look at my miscellanous ramblings I vote for
Atlanta.

See that way they will pick Vegas.


PS - Being a track rat I like the idea that Vegas has a track inside the Speedway , as well as another road course outside. It would make things more efficient, both are relatively safe, and would keep people off those dang banked,walled, Viper eating, curves.

If there are two tracks in Vegas and those of us that want can spend the whole weekend tracking then I say Vegas.

Road Atlanta is a great track but I've never been a fan of the city.

Vegas has a NASCAR style oval and a interior road course. Last time they had us use about 2/3 of the oval and then dive into the road course, then back onto the high speed oval....Great fun.

They also have a NHRA dragstrip. Everyone gets the driving experience of their choice.

Vegas also has fantastic daily drives. The Valley of fire is certaintly worth a couple of hours. Boulder dam, and the lake both are alternatives.

Next month we have a Viperdays event at Spring Mountain. It's just about 45 minutes out of Vegas.

As I read it's a 4 mile road course. It will be my first time there, looking forward to it.

Road Atlanta is a great track but I've never been a fan of the city.

For those of you who are not from Atlanta, Road Atlanta is not really in Atlanta. It is far north....and awesome! This is where we had our Zone VCA meeting. By the way, gas is at $3.27 / gallon today. It was $2.47 a couple of days ago. It will come back down. Atlanta historically has some of the lowest gas prices in the country.

Who cares if Vegas has been used before. It's cool. The last three VOIs have been Midwest to East. It's time to place it closer to the West. You will not match the facilities and track capabilities - Las Vegas is the place.
