Viper vs Viper

Not sure if this is posted anywhere else yet, but I didn't see it, so I thought I'd post for all those interested that weren't there.

So I was at the Luke AFB airshow today, saw the 2008 Viper drag the F16 fighter jet. The first pass they had the 2008 (black coupe) go against the jet running 80% power (non-afterburner). The Viper beat the jet by 160 yards!!!

Next up was a 2007 Comp Coupe going against another F16 at full afterburner (Now remember, only 520hp). The jet beat the Viper by 600 feet. Quite impressive I thought though, considering the amount of power the jet makes

Too bad they didn't run the 2008 against the jet with full afterburners going. Maybe tomorrow

I so wanted to be there for that race but my youngest daughters high school basketball team won 4th in the state and there is a banquet for them tomorrow and I could not miss that. Kids grow up to fast and I don't want to miss any of their accomplishments.
PLEASE post some photos of the race ASAP!

How was the turn out this year? From the pics it looks like about 35-40 cars made it. Did anybody famous show up in the viewing area this time? When I last went Carroll Shelby made an appearance

I didn't count all the cars that were there, but there was a lot more than what those pics show. Definitely an awesome event!

looks like they had the sidewinder wheels on the 08. Also looks like the shocks that raise the hood didn't get any stronger , the guy is leaning on the hook just to keep it up

The sidewinders with PS2's are about 50 lbs lighter than stockers with run flats.

By the stance of that black coupe, it may have had some upgraded shocks too as the car appears lower.

The SRT guys didn't want to lose.

The shocks work fine. Jack was leaning against the Viper while waiting for the race to start. They had the hood up all day after the race where the Viper was displayed with no problem.

Is that an official CD with a graphic on the CD itself plus a cover? Wondering if there are too many pictures on it to send them over by e-mail.
